Call & Instructions

Call for Papers

Authors are invited to submit original contributions with scientific relevance. Papers should be submitted in pdf format via EasyChair here. The following types of scientific papers can be submitted: research papers, review papers and research plan papers.

Papers can have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 pages (references not included) and must be written in English following the IEEE standard guidelines found here (use the A4 templates).

Papers are reviewed using a double-blind reviewing process. Authors must remove their name from the submitted papers, and avoid disclosing their identity indirectly. Acceptance is based on significance, technical quality, clarity, relevance, and originality.

Conference papers will be included in free Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) services such as Google Scholar.

The Conference Proceedings will be published by UA Editora under a Creative Commons CC BY license and will be publicly accessible via RIA, the Institutional Repository of the University of Aveiro.

Accepted papers will be scheduled for presentation, which requires the author to register at the Conference and present the paper.

Call for Posters

MAPi associated researchers and research groups are invited to present posters about their research (maximum is 1 to 2 posters per research group). Posters accepted for presentation will be presented in a poster session. Posters proposals should be submitted in pdf format here.

Important Notes

– The MAPiS will not support any expenses associated with the presentation of posters. It can only provide the physical infra-structures necessary to hold the poster session.
– A poster session will be held if a minimum number of posters is submitted and accepted for presentation.

Presentations

Presenters will have 15 minutes to present their papers, plus 5 minutes for discussion.
