The first MAPi Seminar (MAPiS) is a national scientific meeting in the field of Computer Science whose main target audience are MAPi associated researchers and research groups, MAPi Ph.D. students and Ph.D. students in general.

The MAPiS is in its first edition and will be held in Aveiro, Portugal, at the Senate Room (sala do Senado) in the rectory (reitoria) of the University of Aveiro on January 31, 2019.

This is an opportunity for Ph.D. students to present and discuss their work with other Ph.D. students and although it is a national scientific meeting English is its official language.

The conference includes topics in Computer Science, Information Systems and Computing Methodologies in general in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Management Systems, Deep Learning and Machine Learning, Emerging Technologies, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Theory, Networks, Security and Privacy, and Software Engineering.
